BEGINNERS/NEW STUDENTS

If you are new to Ashtanga Mysore yoga and would like to learn with others, we recommend a Beginners/New Student Intensive.

If you have prior Ashtanga Mysore experience please Contact Us for availability at our Mysore classes.

New Student Intensive Courses (Two Classes Per Week Min)

Intensives are a minimum of 2 classes per week for one month, learning the traditional ‘Ashtanga Mysore’ method of Yoga, still practiced in Mysore, India today.

This method will build physical strength and flexibility, working with your individual areas of need, ultimately making the body and breath more balanced and comfortable. With time and discipline, the practice becomes a ‘moving meditation’ helping to make the mind more stable and cultivate a deep sense of peace and calm.

You will begin with a short sequence tailored for any specific needs you may have. You will receive support directly from the teacher and the initial sequence will be short enough that you can remember it. Additional poses are added once the student remembers the sequence and where it is deemed appropriate by the teacher.

Once the course is completed students may continue to practice at our daily Mysore classes, and with more experience, the Led Class, bookings required.
